Custom Football Backpack Design: Names, Numbers and Logos

A custom football backpack design is easier to read when the name, number and team artwork have a clear order. These two photographed bags show different approaches on a black front panel: one gives a solid white number most of the space, while the other places a mascot above a name and an outlined number.

Layout 1: make the number the main feature

The first bag shows “JASMINE” above a large white 18, with two lines of lettering below. The number is the largest element and has a solid fill, making it the focal point. All three text areas sit in a vertical stack on the main panel.

This approach gives a short name and a large number separate areas. If your roster includes longer names, ask to see the longest one in the proposed layout before approving the whole set. A design that fits a short word may need a different text size for a longer one.

Layout 2: lead with a mascot and use an outlined number

The second bag places a tiger illustration near the top, followed by “Vanilla” and a large outlined 28. Additional lettering sits below the number. The outline leaves much of the black panel visible, giving the colored mascot more visual emphasis.

Compare the space between the artwork and the upper zipper, as well as the spacing around the number. Buckles, seams and panel edges define the usable area. A centered design should be reviewed on the actual bag shape, rather than on an empty rectangular canvas alone.

Keep shared artwork and personal details separate

For a team set, prepare one approved logo file and a separate table of names and numbers. Mark which elements stay the same on every bag and which change for each person. Check spelling, capitalization and number format against that table when reviewing the proposed artwork.

The photos are layout references. They do not establish a current bag model, capacity, fabric specification or production method. Before planning an order around either shape, ask CHD to confirm the available bag and printable area. Include the photo you prefer so the discussion starts from the same design reference.
