CHD Pro-Fit Football Chin Cup Sleeve (Velcro Closure)

The CHD Pro-Fit is a velcro chin strap cover for football: a soft fabric sleeve that wraps around the hard cup of your helmet chin strap and closes with hook-and-loop (Velcro). It fits the chin cup on all major football helmet brands, cuts down on chin-strap rubbing and makes your helmet noticeably more comfortable to wear.

Why players use a chin strap cover

• Less rubbing on your chin: a soft fabric layer sits between your skin and the hard chin cup, so the strap is less likely to dig in or chafe during long practices and games.
• A more comfortable helmet: the chin cup feels softer against your face, play after play.
• Less slipping: the fabric helps the chin cup stay in place on your chin instead of sliding around.
• Team colors: 5 colors — Yellow, Red, Black, White and Blue.
• On and off in seconds: wrap it around the chin cup and press the velcro closed. No tools, no glue.

Will it fit my helmet chin strap?

Yes. The sleeve wraps around the hard chin cup, so it fits the chin straps used on all major football helmet brands, including Riddell (SpeedFlex and other models), Schutt, Vicis and Xenith, on both adult and youth helmets. Have an unusual strap? Email the model or a photo to team@chdsports.com and we will check it for you.

Frequently asked questions

Will this chin strap cover fit my football helmet?

Yes. It fits the hard chin cup on all major football helmet brands, including Riddell, Schutt, Vicis and Xenith, for adult and youth helmets. If your strap is unusual, email a photo to team@chdsports.com and we will check it.

Does it work with a Riddell SpeedFlex chin strap?

Yes. It wraps around the SpeedFlex chin cup the same way it wraps around any other hard chin cup.

Does a chin strap cover really help with chin rubbing?

Yes. The fabric layer sits between your chin and the hard cup, which reduces rubbing and pressure from the strap and helps the cup stay in place instead of sliding.

How does the velcro closure stay on?

The cover wraps fully around the chin cup and the hook-and-loop closes over itself. Press it firmly closed before you play and check it at breaks.
