Custom Team T-Shirts: A Club Artwork Checklist
For custom team T-shirts, start by agreeing on the graphic, its position and the shirt color. Then collect the sizes and quantities in one order sheet. This gives your club a clear brief to discuss with CHD and makes it easier to review a proposed design before production.
A real CHD order for Shanghai Ying Football Club provides a useful visual reference: white shirts carry a large central graphic that repeats across the group. The example helps show how a single print can bring a club outfit together.

1. Give the front graphic one clear focus
In the club photo, large lettering sits above an American football illustration, with green and dark accents on white. The arrangement can be understood across several shirts in the same frame. For your own brief, decide whether the club name, logo or event graphic should be the main element, then place smaller text around that choice.
If the artwork includes a date, slogan or achievement, have the club approve the exact wording before sending it. The lettering shown in a reference photograph is a design element; it should not become a claim about your own event by accident.
2. Specify the shirt color and print position
Write the garment color and artwork colors separately. A white shirt with green and dark artwork is a different instruction from a green shirt with white artwork. Include a front view and, if needed, a back view with the intended location of each graphic marked.
Ask to review the design at its proposed scale on the shirt. A logo that looks clear on a large screen may be hard to read as a small chest mark. A central graphic also needs to be considered across the sizes in your order.
3. Send usable artwork and an order sheet
Keep the original logo file available and ask CHD which file format is needed for the chosen production route. A screenshot can communicate an idea, but the final artwork needs to be checked for production. Confirm exact spelling and colors in the same brief so the team is working from one version.
- Club name and the person collecting approvals.
- Shirt style, garment color and any requested front or back print.
- The approved artwork and exact wording.
- Quantity for each requested size, with a total that matches the order.
- Delivery destination and the date the shirts are needed.
4. Review the proposal before confirming the order
Check the graphic, placement, spelling, sizes and quantities together. Ask CHD to confirm the garment specifications, print method, quotation and production timing for the proposed order. A customer photo is a useful appearance reference; the new order still needs its own agreed details.
