Short answer: pick CHD G1 receiver gloves by two hand measurements, not by age. Measure hand length (base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger) and palm circumference (around the palm, thumb excluded) in inches, then find the row where both numbers fit. Youth sizes YXS–YM cover hand lengths of 6.3–7.1 in; adult sizes S–2XL cover 7.3–8.7 in.

These are the hand measurements listed on the G1 product pages. They apply to the G1 model only; other glove models use their own charts.

How to measure your hand for football gloves
- Hand length: lay the hand flat, fingers together. Measure from the crease at the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
- Palm circumference: wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the palm, below the knuckles, leaving the thumb out.
- Write both numbers in inches and match them to the same row in the chart.

The chart does not assign ages to sizes, and two players of the same age can need different gloves. Measure each player instead of ordering one size for a whole age group.
What if your measurements fall between two sizes?
If hand length points to one row and palm circumference to another, or a number falls between rows, send both measurements to team@chdsports.com before you order. We will check them against the G1 sizes and reply with the closest option. The chart alone does not support a blanket "size up" or "size down" rule.

Can I choose football gloves by age?
